DirecteBooks Expands Irish eBook Service into UK Market

Irish eBooks company, DirecteBooks.com, are delighted to announce that they are extending their popular eBook distribution service, ePubDirect.com to the UK market in response to the rising demand for eBooks and digital titles.

Many publishers are unsure of the legal and technical issues involved with eBooks and cannot afford to invest time, personnel and funds into a digital strategy. ePub Direct was set up to address these problems. Their eBook management service allows Publishers to sell their eBooks in over 65 online retailers worldwide with one single upload and aims to take the headache out of getting eBooks to market.

ePub Direct handles all aspects of eBook management including distribution, administration and billing for one low monthly fee. The publisher's ebook catalogue is stored securely online and can be accessed at any time for sales reports, marketing statistics and the addition of new titles.

On extending into the UK market, Gareth Cuddy, CEO and founder of ePub Direct said:

"We are thrilled there is such a demand for this product both in Ireland and in the UK. It's great that a small company based in Cork can solve a problem for small to large publishers alike, both at home and abroad. This will allow us to grow our team further, creating further employment and securing DirecteBooks as the knowledge leader in this sector."

Concentrating on the UK & Irish markets, Directebooks have agreements with a number of independent publishers and are confident the UK market will follow suit.

With direct access to over 65 eBook retailers worldwide including Amazon, Apple, Sony, Waterstones and WH Smith as well as Directebooks.com, Publishers are assured to have the maximum market exposure online.

Directebooks has been operating in the Irish market for 18 months and has experience in both eBook retail and publishing services. Cuddy feels this gives them a unique insight into each end of the supply chain and highlighted areas that need to be improved.

"We are delighted to be offering independent Publisher the widest possible range of outlets for their titles giving them instant impact in the eBook marketplace."
