Dickinson + Associates Separates Ashland Hardware From Piedmont Hardware
CHICAGO, August 12, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Dickinson + Associates — a leading SAP solution provider and systems integrator — has completed a successful data carve-out for AmesburyTruth, a manufacturer of premium window and door components. Dickinson + Associates partnered with IT separation firm Fission Consulting to execute the project, which involved AmesburyTruth carving out subsidiary company Ashland Hardware from Piedmont Hardware’s ERP system following AmesburyTruth’s acquisition of Ashland Hardware.
“SAP’s solutions, combined with our support services, were a perfect fit for AmesburyTruth’s complex and time-sensitive project needs,” said Brad Wolfe, Vice President of Corporate Development at Dickinson + Associates.
AmesburyTruth’s strict go-live date carried strategic and financial risks, while manufacturing facilities also required Dickinson + Associates and Fission Consulting to conform to a shortened cutover window that was less than the initial estimated required time.
The client’s system was carved, staged and migrated in under 72 hours, successfully adhering to the truncated cutover window. The go-live was considered a “non-event,” as users did not face any critical defects or missing data, and AmesburyTruth avoided unnecessary system licensing costs and other penalties. Ashland Hardware was also migrated to an internally managed SAP system, becoming the first AmesburyTruth company to operate on SAP.
“Our expertise in SAP carve-out projects enabled us to successfully plan the project against an aggressive timeline,” said Brandon Lage, Founder and CEO of Fission Consulting. “With strong communication and flexibility, we were able to adapt as the project landscape changed.”
