The Loves promote healthy relationships by levering their dating with a purpose concept and now their marriage as a sort of blueprint for their network of friends. They promote Detroit too by residing downtown and through their website The Detroit Loves where they highlight the beauty of Detroit and those relationships that are part of the solution(s) for the city. The Loves are super excited to see the revitalization of downtown Detroit, the city they call home.
"We talk about world conquering marriages in terms of getting the best you can out of existence. We just happen to get the best by applying Christian principles to our relationship. We do not get distracted by the lingo. It usually distracts from the practical use of the principals that work for us. At the end of the day, we really just want to inspire others and have fun along the way."
In 2012, Dan started film work in Detroit as director of photography for a Detroit-based film. Dan met Patrice who was assigned to wardrobe. They found many commonalities and began what they call - dating with a purpose.
As a flight attendant, Patrice travels a lot. They understand the importance of planning to spend romantic quality time with each other and effective communication, too.
Since their marriage in May 2012, The Loves have done several TV and radio appearances talking about common sense principles for healthy relationships and the entertaining yet revealing aspects of their interracial marriage.
