DaVincian Technologies, Inc. and Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD), have joined forces to deliver a unique patient access management offering that enables healthcare organizations to deliver actionable intelligence directly to the patient. The combination of Diebold's PACE (Patient Automated Care Experience) registration kiosk and DaVincian's Revenue Orchestratorâ„¢ suite of solutions enables organizations to leverage self-service capabilities to decrease insurance issues and maximize cash collection while improving overall patient satisfaction. The combined solution integrates patient facing self-service kiosk technology from Diebold with the real-time patient access analytical and workflow management applications from DaVincian, resulting in an integrated, multi-access point solution.

Many healthcare organizations today are challenged by the use of disparate financial and workflow systems that require significant IT resources to implement and maintain, often resulting in data integrity issues. The seamless integration that will result from the alignment of these two companies' solutions will minimize IT support requirements, increase speed to value, amplify revenue collection, and improve overall patient satisfaction for health systems looking to implement the combined technologies.

Use of self-service kiosk technologies by forward-thinking healthcare organizations is on the rise as patients become more acclimated to using self-service solutions for services ranging from airline reservations and check-in, to ATMs, to use of hand-held PDAs and smart phones. Healthcare organizations are focused on improving the overall patient experience, along with automating processes including eligibility verification, collecting patient co-pays and coinsurance, and check-in for scheduled appointments. The combined solution seamlessly addresses all of these needs.

"Integrating DaVincian's technology with Diebold's solutions increases the functionality and value that our self-service offerings bring to healthcare organizations," said Dave Byrd, vice president and general manager, healthcare solutions, Diebold.

Albert Scarasso, President and CEO for DaVincian states: "We are excited about the opportunity to join forces with Diebold, a company with a solid reputation in the financial industry. Combining the Diebold and DaVincian technologies provides increased opportunities for our customers to more effectively manage the patient registration process by creating additional patient touch points, increased automation, and additional opportunities to manage patient registration data and ensure accurate patient payment collection."
