Grand Opening festivities begin on 3/8 at Mesquite location; Include Chili Cook-Off for charity and kids' activities
Online, March 5, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Floor & Decor's 110,000 square foot Mesquite showroom is scheduled to open on Thursday, March 8, 2012 with a weekend full of activities for the whole family, including an appearance on Saturday, March 10th from Daryl "Moose" Johnston and Darren Woodson from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. The new Floor & Decor showroom is located at 1330 N. Town East Blvd. Mesquite, TX 75150.
Here are just a few of the activities planned for the weekend:
Thursday - "The Ticket" Radio station live remote, Mesquite Chamber Ribbon Cutting, Face Painting, Caricatures, Cotton Candy, & Popcorn.
Friday - La Que Buena Radio Station live remote, La Jefa Radio Station Live Remote, Pizza Patron pizza, Mavericks Tickets Give-Away, Tommy Read - Folk Singer, Mariachi Band, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, Face Painting, Caricatures, Cotton Candy, & Popcorn.
Saturday - Appearances by Daryl "Moose" Johnston (10-Noon) and Darren Woodson (Noon - 2), "Chili for Charity" Chili Cook Off with proceeds going to Operation Touching Lives, 96.3 KSCS Live Remote, Mavericks Dancers Meet & Greet (1-2), Mavericks Maniacs Meet & Greet (3-4), Face Painting, Caricatures, Cotton Candy, & Popcorn.

This Floor & Decor location will be unlike any other Texas store because of the extensive services provided. This store will offer the following:
•7500 square foot design gallery,
•tool rental program, including wet saws, pneumatic tools and compressors, variable speed grinders and polishers, manual tile cutters, table saws, jamb saws, and mortar mixers,
•truck rentals,
•in-store bullnosing for countertops and other trim projects and in-store custom etching.
