In line with Marriott culture to give back to the communities that they are involved in, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad organized a week long training workshop for the members of SEVA Cafe on kitchen management skills and presentation of cuisine basis the prime requirements conveyed by the members. As an extension to the initiative Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad's associates will be operating the cafe for an entire day on September 30, 2010 .

The training session was particularly customized by Executive Chef, Sunil Kumar, to enhance the culinary expertise of SEVA CAFÉ members on presentation of dishes and incorporate an array of delicacy in the routine menu of the Cafe. The focus of the initiative was to ensure that the learning's can be simply employed at the Cafe to enhance guest experience. During the sessions the members learnt how to prepare dishes such as Soups, Kabuli Biryani, Shorba, Tawa Paneer etc alongside the expert chef's and got a chance to serve the patrons at MoMo Cafe.

Speaking about the initiative Executive Chef, Sunil Kumar, Courtyard by Marriott, Ahmedabad said, "We are thankful that we as a company could assist SEVA Cafe. The concept of SEVA Cafe is marvelously unique; it is dedicated to selfless service and it is a great opportunity for our associates to be working alongside the SEVA members today because we actively support our communities, building goodwill, fostering understanding, and creating lasting bonds" he further elaborated "While training the SEWA Cafe members my focus was on teaching them cuisine that was diverse yet uncomplicated. I am hopeful that the SEVA members will be able to implement their leanings in their offerings and our certification will help them motivate further."
