Dallas, TX, September 9, 2011- Conscious Capitalism®, Inc. announced today that it will host its Fifth Annual CEO Summit on October 12 - 14, 2011, in Austin, Texas.

Conscious Capitalism®, Inc. announced today that it will host its Fifth Annual CEO Summit on October 12 - 14, 2011, in Austin, Texas. Some 100 pioneering leaders at the forefront of the emerging new business paradigm, including Whole Foods Market co-CEO, John Mackey and The Container Store Chairman and CEO, Kip Tindell, will join together to foster practical learning and advance the Conscious Capitalism Movement.

With this year's theme "Unleashing Stakeholder Value," conversations will center around ways to advance one of the underlying principles of Conscious Capitalism: creating value for each of a business' stakeholders - including customers, employees, vendors, the community, the environment, as well as shareholders - and harmonizing stakeholder interests.

"Creating value for all stakeholders creates a resilient, sustainable business," comments Mackey. "Our experience indicates that it also generates healthy profits for shareholders."

Among the presenters for the Fifth Annual Conscious Capitalism CEO Summit are Nordstrom, Inc. CEO Blake Nordstrom, Panera Bread Founder and Executive Chairman Ron Shaich, Southwest Airlines President Emeritus Colleen Barrett, Starbucks former President Howard Behar, Twitter co-founder and Creative Director Biz Stone, and Trader Joe's former President Doug Rauch, who was recently appointed as the CEO of Conscious Capitalism, Inc.

"The timing is right for the Conscious Capitalism movement to take center stage in business. Consumers want to associate with companies who share their same values - they're voting with their pocketbook," said Tindell. "Nothing is more innovative and rewarding than creatively crafting mutually-beneficial relationships amongst all of an organization's stakeholders."

"The caliber of the people leading the conversation at this year's CEO Summit clearly validates the Conscious Capitalism movement and what it stands for," continued Tindell.

Since its inception in 2005 (originally under the name of FLOW), Conscious Capitalism, Inc. and the emerging Conscious Capitalism Movement have expanded steadily through the diligent work of a group of dedicated volunteers and trustees, and through the work of many entrepreneurs and business leaders building and operating their companies in alignment with the four tenets of Conscious Capitalism: purpose beyond profits, stakeholder orientation, conscious leadership and conscious culture.

The 5th Annual CEO Summit will be held at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Austin, Texas, on October 12 - 14, 2011. For more information about Conscious Capitalism and details about the Summit, visit http://consciouscapitalism.org.
