Complimentary Intellectual Property Seminars Offered October 19 and November 16, 2011

These COMPLIMENTARY programs are part of our 2011 Entrepreneurship Series designed to help established and start-up businesses with their Intellectual Property. The series is offered by Summit County Public Library in conjunction with Frisina, LLC.

Join us for "Monetizing Intellectual Property" on OCTOBER 19, 2011
and/or "From Conception to Capitalize" on November 16, 2011.

Those who should attend include entrepreneurs, business, corporate executives, innovators, technology-based companies, CPAs, business attorneys, in-house counsel, marketing directors, innovators and inventors. Attendees may attend one or more of the programs.

On October 19, 2011, Robert Bejcek III, an attorney from Frisina, LLC will present "Monetizing Intellectual Property" will focus on available means for obtaining capital from intellectual property. Some of the means that will be discussed include licensing and selling patents, IP-backed loans, bond issues, and capital investment. Those who should attend include owners of startup or established technology-based companies, CPA's, business attorneys, and in-house counsel.

On November 16, 2011 Bejcek will present "From Conception to Capitalize" where attendees will learn the process of creating a new technology-based business with an emphasis on intellectual property issues. Topics include the use of non-disclosure and non-compete agreements, provisional patent applications, and utility patents. Additionally, we cover strategic issues including development of a patent portfolio, generating blocking art, maximizing claim scope, managing litigation risks, as well as various other offensive and defensive strategies.
