Fredrick, Colorado. June 24th, 2010 - High Country Harley-Davidson/Buell is pleased to confirm that Senate President Brandon Shaffer will be the guest of honor in the 22nd annual ride that benefits the Disable American Veterans. The ride will take place on Saturday July 3rd, 2010 starting at 8am.

President Shaffer will travel with a National Guard Humvee and a group of 40 Harley-Davidson motorcycles and sidecars to the Veterans Association Residence Center in Denver. President Shaffer will address the veterans and riders at that location. Free T-shirts will also be given to many of the residents.

Separately, a much larger group of Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders will meet at High Country Harley-Davidson to participate in a poker run which will tour five American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) centers.

After the ride, everyone will return to High Country Harley-Davidson (3761 Monarch Street, Frederick, CO 80516 - just south west of Exit 235 on I-25) for food, refreshments and music. Harley's Heroes pins as well as T-shirts will be available for purchase.

All proceeds from the fund raising activities will be donated to the local Disabled American Veterans chapter in Longmont and the Veterans Association Residence in Denver.

Dave Przygocki, Sales Manager at High Country and lead organizer of the event, said "These veterans have put it on the line for us and paid a heavy price. Now we're asking people to put some miles on to raise some money to help them." He added, "We are honored that President Shaffer will be joining us again - it will mean a lot to the veterans as well as to the volunteers who have put so much time into making this happen".

Bones Engelman, Operations Manager for High Country said, "This is a tradition - our 22nd year. Our timing this year is particularly good, with the ride taking place the day before Independence Day. We hope we get a huge turnout so we can raise a lot of money for our veterans".
