College Admissions Assistance Awards First Round of 2016 Scholarships

William Adderly

College Admissions Assistance (CAA) is proud to announce our scholarship contest winners, William Adderly and Alison Hopper.  Each student entered the annual survey contest conducted by CAA for graduating seniors in the program.  Each year, CAA takes a survey to find out how we can improve the program for clients.  Through the participation of students, CAA receives valuable feedback that will benefit future clients.

William Adderly will receive $500 toward his college education at the University of Central Florida in the fall to major in Hospitality Management. His goal is to one day work in the hospitality industry and possibly run a hotel. He chose UCF because their Hospitality Management program is one of the highest-ranked in the country.  It was through his connection with CAA that he came to discover his career goal.  He said, “I enjoyed that I could just call and ask questions, especially when I had questions about jobs and getting into schools.” William also highlighted his use of the ACT study material and all the tools that helped with math.

Alison Hopper will receive $250 toward her studies at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  She plans to major in Animal Sciences as she pursues a career as a veterinarian.  She told CAA that our regular email reminders were very helpful in the college admissions process. They helped to keep her on track throughout her time with CAA. She credits those emails and the CAA website with helping her to better manage her time as she applied to colleges. She also used the tutoring services to help with her science classes, and she especially needed some additional help with her challenging AP Physics class. She said that, “Those tutoring moments prepared me for the placement tests for college!”

Congrats to William and Alison for being the third and fourth place scholarship winner!  We know that they both will be extremely successful in their next steps!

CAA is a private educational-service organization that provides expert college planning help to students and families nationwide. These services would be out of reach for many families, but we have successfully combined technology, a caring team of highly trained college coaches, and years of experience into a program that’s affordable to families in need of our assistance.  For more information, please visit www.caaconnect.com
