Recently, the Children Battling Cancer Foundation and Caribbean Cruise Line have Partnered to give free cruises to families with children suffering from cancer.

The Children Battling Cancer Foundation and Caribbean Cruise Line have been offering free cruises once a month to the families of children battling cancer. This program was begun in late 2009 along with the help of Caribbean Cruise Line, along with their Bahamas Celebration Ship.

Knowing the stress that both the children battling cancer and their families can often undergo on a daily basis, each Hope On Water Experience is a tailor made cruise considering the age of the child and siblings and the overall size of the family. Since December of 2009, Caribbean Cruise Line has partnered with The Children Battling Cancer Foundation to create their "Hope On Water" campaign.

Each month, Caribbean Cruise Lines sends a child with cancer along with his or her family on an all expense paid vacation cruise on its Bahamas Celebration ship. These cruises become much more than a mere vacation for families facing illness and the leading cause of death in children, pediatric cancer. For them these wonderful Caribbean Cruises are an opportunity to create quality family time and to build fond memories at a time when hope can seem so far away.

The mission of the Children Battling Cancer Foundation is to "bridge the gap between the community and families battling childhood cancer by raising awareness within the community while bringing practical help and lasting hope directly to the families of childhood cancer." The Children Battling Cancer Foundation and Caribbean Cruise Line understands that when confronted with a diagnosis of pediatric cancer, the entire family suffers and not just the child facing the disease. This is why the Hope On Water program is so very important.
