According to the film makers, their intent is to 'inspire, empower and inform' others about ways to live more sustainably. 'At the same time, we want to demonstrate by example that it is not that hard to do. Basically anyone can start any time. I had no experience and didn't even speak the language when I first came here to start the project." adds Tippit Cronin.

According to the film contest website, "...the possible futures film contest is... challenging storytellers of the world to create a new vision for the future of humanity..." The contest has received over 300 short film entries in four categories.
The fifty acres Rancho de Caldera eco-project in western Panama, near the Costa Rica border, includes residences, bamboo green houses, organic agriculture, horses and farm animals, an eco-lodge for group events and overnight visitors, a solar powered ionized and chlorine free swimming pool and a gourmet restaurant.
