Campus Enterprises, the lead division for retail and hospitality at NC State University, recently donated $1 million to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for merit and need-based scholarships.

The contribution was generated through the proceeds from Campus Enterprises organizations, including Trademark Licensing, the AllCampus Network, Catering & Event Management, the N.C. State Bookstores, and University Dining.

"This is more a story about how the purchase of products and services offered through Campus Enterprise organizations support the academic mission at NC State," said Dr. Dan Adams, associate vice chancellor of Campus Enterprises. "Our proceeds are used to expand and improve our services and provide scholarship money for deserving students. While our units have provided scholarship funds in past years, it is especially important now, given the current budget cuts and tuition increases, to continue our commitment to fulfill this mission on behalf of our students."

Campus Enterprises was established in 2009 within the office of Finance and Business to comprise the university's retail and hospitality organizations, including University Dining, NC State Bookstores, University Trademark Licensing, the Lonnie Poole Golf Course, Student Center Operations (Witherspoon, Thompson, Price and Talley), and the AllCampus Card. It is currently leading campus-wide efforts that include the $4.4 million Atrium Food Court renovation and the $120 million Talley Student Center renovation and addition, among others.
