Camp Corral Announces Continuation of Partnership With Wounded Warrior Project

Camp Corral

Camp Corral is honored to announce a continuation of its partnership with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) as WWP commits to support Camp Corral's unique summer camp program for children of post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans. This unique opportunity - comprised of evidence-based recreational and educational activities - is designed to provide respite for military-connected children, build self-confidence, foster peer connection, and strengthen coping skills. With the help of its dedicated partners, Camp Corral has a goal of transforming the lives of 3,000 children across the country in 2023.

"Camp Corral is created for children of our military heroes as a place to make friends, connect with nature, and gain confidence. Parents and campers alike talk about the positive and lasting effects of relationships built at camp," explains Phil Kowalczyk, Camp Corral's CEO. "Wounded Warrior Project is an inspiring partner because we share a common mission and remain focused, measuring real impact."

Collaboration is essential to helping all veterans, their families, and caregivers. WWP's partnerships with veteran service organizations expand the resources available to America's injured veterans and help ensure they and their families thrive long-term. Since 2012, WWP has invested more than $368 million in 214 organizations that help wounded veterans and families across the country. This support connects warriors and their loved ones with the resources they need to improve their quality of life.

Camp Corral works diligently to create new and foster established relationships with collaborative organizations within the military- and veteran-serving communities. Connections and partnerships are highly intentional and focused on the three components of Camp Corral's mission: program, advocacy efforts, and enrichment opportunities. With WWP and Camp Corral serving as the top-tier providers within their respective fields of expertise, a continuing partnership will increase impact on the nation's military heroes and their families exponentially. A seamless collaboration, dedicated staff will work together to maximize effectiveness across all programs in each organization's portfolio.
