Camlin's All India Camel Colour Contest At Hyderabad

• Vying for an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records, with an aim of getting 5 million participants from 6000 schools.

Camlin Limited has launched the 'All India Camel Colour Contest' in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The contest will be held in around 200 schools with a participation of around 2,00,000 students.

With today's painting competition in Delhi Public School, Nacharam where 2500 children pariticipated in the event and Johnson Grammars School, Habsiguda where 2000 students participated, Camlin has already covered 96 schools in AP.

November 21st 2011 is the regional judging day and the event will be in one of the schools of Hyderabad.
The selected entries in the regional level will be sent to Mumbai for national level judging.

With a presence in Limca Book of Indian Records as an accomplished feat the All India Camel Colour Contest is vying for an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records, with an aim of getting 5 million participants from 6000 schools.

The contest has multi-level formats with the participants first being judged at the school level, followed by regional and national level where the winners shall be judged by prominent artists, educators and child psychologists. Children have been divided on the basis of their classes into groups with specific themes. Group A (kindergarten) has the theme of My Family, Group B (Std. 1st & 2nd) on Visit to the Fun Fair, Group C (Std. 3rd & 4th) on Sports Day at School, Group D (Std. 5th, 6th & 7th) on Market Visit and Group E (Std. 8th, 9th & 10th) on Wildlife in India. Group C & D ensure the maximum participation through out the country.

All India Camel Colour Contest began in early 70s in the form of workshops and contests at city level only and eventually grew into a nation wide competition helping children identify the artist within them. With a presence
