Byrd Britt's New Book 'Tales From a Penny' is a Truly Wonderful Trip to the Zoo With a Boy, His Mother, and a Lucky Find

Byrd Britt, a past teacher and former director of Educational Services, has completed her most recent book “Tales From A Penny”: a gripping and potent illustrated tale that follows Jack finding an old penny as he and his mom head to the zoo. This single penny took him on many adventures.

Byrd writes, “Tales from a Penny: A Trip to the Zoo is a story about a little boy named Jack who finds a special penny from 1998 on the sidewalk one day as he and his mother were on their way to the zoo. Jack’s mom tells him it is good luck to find a penny. So Jack decides to take the penny along with them on an adventure to the zoo.

While at the zoo, they spend time visiting the animals and learning fun facts about them. First, they go see the lions, where Jack finds out that the biggest lion is called the King of the Jungle. Next, they stop by the giraffes and learn a little bit about them as well, and then finally, they watch the playful monkeys roll around, having fun like Jack and his friends do.

Later, Jack tells his mom that he is tired and ready to go home, but just then, something happens to his lucky penny. Join Jack, his mom, and Emmie the penny on their trip to the zoo to see what happens.”

Published by Fulton Books, Byrd Britt’s book is a lovely adventure that will take the young readers on a trip to the zoo along with Jack and his mom as he carries his lucky penny to sightsee the animals.

In this tale, everyone will find delight in a young boy’s day.
