Business Agility Movement Launches Inaugural Conference in February
New York, NY, November 21, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The world’s first ever Business Agility conference will equip forward-thinking organizations with the tools, structure and mindset to face hurdles without losing momentum.
Held at the New York Marriott Marquis on February 23 and 24, Business Agility 2017 has already attracted a panel of the biggest names in the global business agility community.
Attending this conference is a great way for companies to kick off 2017 by installing the structure, thinking and processes that will ensure they can navigate any challenge without losing momentum. We say a business is only as agile as its least agile part, so we have created an event that will benefit everyone.
Evan Leybourn , Business transformation leader, author and organiser of Business Agility 2017
Business agility endorses entrepreneurial thinking among large corporations. It recognizes that traditional management and corporate governance models are failing to keep up with the modern economy.
Proponents of business agility know that in an age of rapid change, only companies that can respond quickly to challenges without losing momentum or vision will survive. The movement embraces change through all levels of an organization – from software developers to CEOs – and teaches how to think, work and interact through change.
Organizer Evan Leybourn, a business transformation leader and author, says Business Agility 2017 is a big step for the lean and agile movement. The concept was originally adopted by the IT sector but is now gaining rapid momentum among the leaders of medium and large organizations.
“Attending this conference is a great way for companies to kick off 2017 by installing the structure, thinking and processes that will ensure they can navigate any challenge without losing momentum. We say a business is only as agile as its least agile part, so we have created an event that will benefit everyone.”
Business Agility 2017 has already attracted the support of 25+ thought leaders, including Steve Denning, Pat Reed, Scott Ambler and Bjarte Bogsnes, with more to be added to the lineup. On February 23 and 24, speakers will cover the full spectrum of lean and agile transformation, from embracing change to developing leadership strategies, structuring a company for agility, compliance, budgeting and accounting strategies, HR policies and innovation.
Each day, business agility leaders will address four different topics. Each topic will be examined through three 20-minute TED-style talks followed by a deep-dive interactive session. Attendees can also attend accelerator labs and hands-on workshops on February 21 and 22, as well as a day of open discussion following the conference on February 25.
ICAgile, a global Agile accreditation body, is partnering with Leybourn to launch the conference, in what is intended to be an annual event.
Ahmed Sidky, President of ICAgile says, “We aim to empower leaders to champion business agility strategies in their own organizations. Attendees will learn how to align thousands of employees to their vision of transformation, how to structure their team or organization to be lean and nimble, and how to adapt and innovate in today’s unpredictable market.”
Delegate registrations are currently open, and passes can be purchased at businessagility2017.com.
