Bryan Cinco Aims To Increase BPO Jobs In Leyte Philippines

Online, January 13, 2013 (Newswire.com) - IT and SEO specialist Bryan Cinco plans to provide more works for people in Leyte through online outsourcing business this 2013.

The head of the fast-rising online news site Manila Channel, Cinco believes that the province has a big potential to be a center of business process outsourcing (BPO) jobs. For him, this means more employment possibilities for the region.

BPO is the outsourcing of certain business functions or operations to third party service providers. Philippines has surpassed India as the biggest BPO industry in the world in 2010. The growing call center sector in the country is a proof of this but other IT-based jobs, such as web designing, search engine optimization, and article writing services are also increasing.

An opportunity for Leyte

"What makes Leyte a good fishing spot for those who are looking for BPO employees is they can find cheaper services in the same quality that those from the bigger cities can offer." Cinco explained.

"With the low cost of living in this region, one can hire an employee in a cheaper rate.

"Basic commodities, like food, are less expensive here in Leyte since this is an agricultural province. Many places are also walking distance, especially in the countryside, so fares are not much needed."

Based on the National Wages and Productivity Commission's Summary of Current Regional Daily Minimum Wage Rate as of December 2012, Region VIII is among the regions in the Philippines having low minimum wage rates. Compared to the NCR which currently has Php 419.00 to Php 456.00, Region VIII has Php 260.00.

Moreover, Cinco assures quality services from the local BPO.

"Leyte has a lot of good schools and universities, such as University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College, Leyte Normal University, Eastern Visayas State University, AMA, ACLC and more. Local graduates are competitive enough and are computer and internet literate.

"They are also fluent in English.

"Therefore, instead of them going to the big cities like Cebu or Manila, more BPOs online can make them stay."

An increasing demand for BPOs

BPO job openings for Filipinos have increased. In fact, these recent years, the demand for Filipino search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SM), and online reputation management (ORM) specialists has grown. Cinco is just one of the many in the Philippines who have established a position in these professions.

Another which is in-demand for Filipinos today is article writing service.

"With the growth of SEO,ORM, and SEM industries, the need for quality articles has also increased." Cinco explained.

"Articles and blogs are the contents used by these industries in their business."
