British Airways CIO Paul Coby talks about how to ensure improvements during a time of recession
Online, December 10, 2009 (Newswire.com) - British Airways CIO & Head of BA Services Paul Coby is one a select few who have managed to cope with the recession. Coby is aligning business processes and technology in BA's new organisation to achieve over 50% reductions in the cost in British Airways' IT operations.
This January, he took over responsibility for financial shared services, property, business metrics and the application of Lean process across the airline.
Paul Coby is also Chairman of the e-skills UK CIO Board, a company who works with employees, educators and government to transform IT skills at all levels and ages in the UK economy and society.
Additionally, Paul Coby chairs SITA, which is owned by the Air Transport Community and provides network services and IT solutions in 220 countries across the world.
He is going to share his experience and discuss secrets of sustainable improvement along with other industry leaders at the 11th Annual Process Excellence Summit that will be held in London in April 2010.
The annual event attracts process excellence specialists from a variety of different industries. This year list of speakers will be topped by former senior executive and board member of Pepsi and Marks & Spencer, Rene Carayol, ABB Group Senior Vice President - Quality & Operational Excellence, Bill Black and Business Transformation and Integration Leader in GE Money Bank, Thom Keehan.
