Bret Saberhagen's Make A Difference Foundation donates to Marillac
Overland Park, Kansas, December 25, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Bret Saberhagen’s Make A Difference Foundation (MAD) has made a generous contribution to Marillac. The proceeds are a direct result of the “Party Like It’s 1985” event that occurred during the Kansas City Royals World Series run. The event included a raffle, autographs and auction items that benefited Saberhagen’s foundation.
The Make A Difference Foundation’s mission is to encourage and stimulate philanthropy for the education, cultural growth, recreational opportunity, and well-being of children.
The Make A Difference Foundation seeks out programs that place an emphasis on reaching youth and enabling them to interact in non-confrontational settings with the goal of giving young people the tools to become self-reliant, self-confident and healthy individuals.
“I am pleased that Make A Difference can help out a top-notch organization like Marillac, who has been instrumental with assisting children’s needs for years,” Saberhagen said. “The Make A Difference Foundation strives to enrich children’s lives, and I am glad we can back an organization with similar ideals.”
Marillac strives to enhance the lives of children, adolescents and their families by providing a continuum of quality care to advance mental health care advocacy.
“The Make a Difference Foundation’s generous contribution, especially during the holiday season, will enable Marillac to serve additional youth and families and provide hope for a brighter tomorrow. We are honored to be a recipient of the Foundation’s generosity,” said Lynn Lemke, President/CEO of Marillac.
Marillac provides leading-edge treatment and care 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Marillac is located in Overland Park, on a 17-acre campus, which is the only one of its kind in Johnson County, Kansas.
