BlueStacks App Player Wins CES Innovations Honor

Breakthrough Android Apps on PC software honored in brand new mobile category - bridges worlds between Android and Windows

BlueStacks App Player for Windows PC, a new product that lets people use Android Apps full screen in Windows, has been selected as a 2012 CES honoree by a panel of independent design and engineering experts. The product, released just four weeks ago, was developed by ten engineers over the course of two years. BlueStacks also recently released a mobile app in the Android Market called Cloud Connect that allows Android users to push the apps on their phone or tablet onto their PC.

"We've been working long hours for a long time and of course it's wonderful to receive this kind of validation by the CES," said BlueStacks CEO, Rosen Sharma. "For us the App Player is only the start. Our mobile Cloud Connect service will be expanding soon, and eventually it will enable all app-related entities to communicate with each other. We're very excited about what's next."

BlueStacks App Player is currently in public alpha and a Pro version is expected in early 2012. The Pro version will include access to premium apps like Fruit Ninja and Cut the Rope, which will be making their first appearances full-screen on PC. The company is based in Silicon Valley with offices in Japan, India and Taiwan.
