Bloomex Supports Ontario Contact Silent Auction 2013

Canada's leading florist, Bloomex, has donated a $100 gift card to be auctioned off as part of Ontario Contact's Silent Auction on the weekend of Oct. 24-26 in Kitchener.

Bloomex, a Canadian florist based in Ottawa, is proud to support Ontario Contact's Annual Silent Auction.

Ontario Contact (http://ontariocontact.ca) is a yearly conference that supports skill development in the performing arts. The conference helps to to support professional development for emerging artists, agents/ managers and presenters across the province.

Bloomex will be donating a $100 Gift Card to the Silent Auction in support of the cause. The donation comes as part of a renewed focus by Bloomex to contribute to the local communities where the business has operations in.

"The arts are a vital part of our communities," said Dimitri Lokhonia, president of Bloomex. "We hope this initiative, and more to follow, shows how dedicated we are to supporting our youth in their creative endeavours throughout the country."

In addition to its corporate headquarters and production facility in Ottawa, Bloomex maintains production facilities in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, making them the country's only true national Canadian florist. The company was established in 2006 and has grown to become the country's leading florist.

Ontario Contact is a yearly conference for performing arts, which includes exhibitors, networking, meetings, showcases, an awards dinner, and a variety of other happenings. This year, the event is being held in Kitchener, Ontario, from Oct. 23 to Oct. 26. The Silent Auction portion kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, running until noon on Oct. 26.

Ontario Contact is run by CCI Ontario Presenting Network, a member-based, not-for-profit arts organization whose mandate is to develop Ontario's presenting arts leadership through networking and professional development. Ontario Contact is supported by the Ontario Arts Council, Ontario Trillium Foundation and Canadian Heritage.

Money raised by the Ontario Contact Silent Auction will subsidize the delegate fee for the conference and assist in travel costs for Ontario Contact; it will also provide funds for the Artist Readiness Workshop for artists considering touring.
