Bishop Eddie Long - Two Reasons You Can't Blame Bishop Eddie Long For The Sex Scandal

In a recent interview with Tyronne Jacques Host of Reputation Radio, he says that there are two reasons Bishop Eddie Long is not at fault for the sensationalism that has surrounded this so-called Scandal.

New Orleans, Louisiana - The topic on Reputation Radio will cover why Bishop Eddie Long is getting the short end of the deal when it comes to the coverage of the Sex Scandal. It didn't help that one of the largest media outlets in the world (CNN) is located only a few short miles from the church. Due to the extensive coverage of the scandal, Bishop Eddie Long may have already been convicted in the eyes of public opinion.

Even Bishop Eddie Long had no idea that he had reached this level of notoriety and almost appeared overwhelmed from the intense media scrutiny. Ever since the story broke over a week ago, CNN has covered every intricate detail of an accusation that would have probably only been a featured story on the local networks in Atlanta.

In a recent interview with Tyronne Jacques Host of Reputation Radio, he says that there are two reasons Bishop Eddie Long is not at fault for the sensationalism that has surrounded this so-called Scandal.

"I think it is important to remember that Bishop Eddie Long is first and foremost a man. I know that may seem like an obvious fact but somewhere along the way someone got the impression that he was Jesus Jr., and that's far from realistic. The second reason you can't blame Bishop Eddie Long for this media circus is because we are only dealing with accusations from a few questionable characters, which is unfortunately all we have to go on."

Tyronne Jacques went on to say that in 1962 FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover made very serious accusations about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. calling him a communist, even claiming to have pictures. History has proven in cases with questionable characters such as J. Edgar Hoover that you have to take into consideration the character of the accuser.

Reputation Radio will take on this topic Wednesday September 28, 2010 at 1 pm CST. Listeners are invited to call in and voice their opinions on this topic and other issues that are plaguing the Church.
