"We pride ourselves on being fairly innovative for a relatively small manufacturer," Joe Upton says in the interview. In terms of hardware, Malloy has invested in a company named Timson's and Malloy was the first book printer in the United States to buy a Timson's press. Timson's is the primary supplier of press equipment.

"We have nine customer service reps at Malloy and they've been at Malloy an average of 30 years," says Bill Upton in the interview. "These are people that really know the business and our customers like working with us because they deal with a person who is knowledgeable and empowered to make decisions in the customers' best interests."
