Big Surprise For Indie Artists - Simpozia.com Launching With Stream & Ticket Sale Support

Just two weeks after Xelleon announced that Simpozia Live Streaming would not be launched until early second quarter 2012. Xelleon issued a press release to the Associated Press today stating it would be launching in December with streaming service.

When Google decided to launch Google Music, to basically offer i-tunes for android, Xelleon founder Dale Scott Marion released to the associated press a statement that they would be launching with Live Streaming and Live Streaming Ticket Sales at the same time as they launch their core service in December.

This is big news for indie artists and fans alike, It also differentiates Simpozia from the standard music sales websites like itunes, and Google Music.

Xelleon President Dale Marion said, "It was bothering me. That Google decided to come to market with another music sales website. I felt like we weren't doing enough to separate ourselves from the Big Boys."

Even though Simpozia is nothing like i-tunes, Emusic, or Google Music, the fact that they sell music in album format put Simpozia at risk of looking like "Just another music store" Marion said.

Simpozia only offers it's services to independent labels and artists which make up 28% of the overall world wide music sales. "You won't ever be able to find The Beatles on Simpozia," said Marion, "but you will find number one recording artists like JDiggs, and Neverending White Lights."

What is also very different about Simpozia, is that they do not follow the standard content publishing rules that the Big Boys enforce on little artists. Simpozia is user driven and offers tools to Labels and distribution houses that automate royalty payment to artists.

"We did this because as Artists, we know that independent artists and bands need to see their profit immediately, they can't be out of pocket like Sony, Warner, or Universal." said Dale, "Simpozia automated the payment of royalties, so every sale shows up as funds in the artists Simpozia account and can be withdrawn to their paypal account immediately."

Also in the release were specifications on the Live service being launched. Simpozia Live ticket sales and events will allow artists to setup live feeds to their concerts for free, and sell event tickets to Simpozia users that will allow fans to watch their favorite bands wherever they are. This service also allows bands to increase their profits, by selling out smaller venues and supporting larger audiences using the highest quality online streaming.

Director of Music Affairs Daniel Victor stated that "The new service gives every band in the world the opportunity to promote their album and live events in one place, while keeping the whole package secure during distribution. On top of this, anyone can use this streaming service. Xelleon made sure that even a guitarist with an iphone could stream his performance to his fans. But made sure to support the highest quality feeds, and equipment for elaborate stage shows as well."

Simpozia also boasts that it is a completely free to join service, they promote every artist in a fair and equal way that allows everyone to have front page exposure, and unlike Google Music and itunes, music from Simpozia can be socially shared and gifted through Facebook, Google+, Twitter, My Space, email personal websites, etc, pretty much anywhere.

Simpozia also offers its service at a lower commission rate than it's competitors while giving labels and artists the ability to distribute to portable devices and to pc and macs alike. There is no device discrimination at Simpozia.com

Xelleon also stated that its pre-release DRM based security using the impervio piracy protection will also support distribution to Android when they launch in December.
