Bates Creative Group Takes Home Six Awards at 30th Annual EXCEL Awards
Bates Creative Group is recognized as an industry leader in design excellence at the 30th Annual AM&P EXCEL Awards.
Online, June 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Silver Spring, MD) - The Association Media & Publishing (AM&P) presents Bates Creative Group (BCG) with six awards at the 30th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala on Monday, June 14th at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC.
According to the AM&P website, the EXCEL Awards honor and represent the best publishing products of the association industry. The coveted EXCEL Award is the pinnacle of peer recognition and the seal of excellence in association publishing.
Nearly 180 winners, representing 91 non-profit organizations and associations, are selected from 1,000 entries. Winners are chosen for displaying exemplary work in editorial, design, advertising and marketing, online publishing, mobile applications, digital editions and electronic newsletter categories.
Gold (first place), Silver (second place) and Bronze (third place) awards are presented in most categories as well as the EXTRA! Awards for pioneering cutting-edge publishing excellence.
BCG EXCEL Awards are as follows: Gold in Magazine Redesign for Sport Aviation, magazine of the Experimental Aircraft Association; Gold in Magazine Design Excellence for Sport Aviation; Silver in Magazines Most Improved for ASID Icon, magazine of the American Society of Interior Designers; Silver in Magazines Most Improved (more than 50,000) for Sport Aviation; and Bronze in Magazine Redesign (more than 50,000) for ASID Icon.

The EXCEL Awards Gala is held in conjunction with the AM&P Annual Meeting, where BCG president, Debra Bates-Schrott, was also a featured speaker. Debra co-presented with Christina Soto, Editor of Saving Land, magazine of the Land Trust Alliance. Their session was appropriately entitled, How to Redesign Your Magazine into an Award-Winner.
