Bacchus Bar & Bistro Announces Wine Spectator Award And New Pinot Noir Offerings

Bacchus Bar & Bistro is recognized by Wine Spectator and continues to expand its already extensive wine selection for Fall 2014

Bacchus Bar and Grill in Irvine, CA, recently received the 2014 Wine Spectator Award Of Excellence and has announced the addition of a trio of new wines to its Fall lineup. Selections include Sojourn "Sangiacomo Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, August West "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir, and Moshin Vineyards "Estate Grown" Russian River Pinot Noir.

Bacchus will be announcing new bistro menu items in October, adding to its already successful food plate options which include the ever-popular Pork Belly Tacos, Chorizo and Lobster Fondue, and its signature Bacchus Burger. The eatery’s diverse selection of starters, small plates, desserts, cheese boards, and salads are paired with wine offerings across all budgets.

Formerly known as Bacchus Secret Cellar, the location was quietly renovated and relaunched as Bacchus Bar & Bistro in early 2014. Bacchus is managed by Deb Willems and the kitchen is led by her daughter, Chef Charity Smith, both formerly of Patina Group. The comfortable and welcoming atmosphere includes dozens of dining tables, a lounge, and an outside smoking area with a variety of cigar options available. Live music can be heard on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
