Award Winning Scholar Edward C. Graves' New Book 'It Took What It Took' Continues Research of American Cultural Studies

Recent release "It Took What it Took" from Page Publishing author Edward C. Graves builds upon decades of writing to introduce new findings on cultural displacement and how individuals can enhance their living skills.

Edward C. Graves, the winner of the 1996 Black Book Achievement Award and the recipient of the key to the city of his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, has completed his new book “It Took What it Took”: a data-driven collection of findings offered for people to find and develop the skills necessary to live their best lives.

“In sharing this work, it is my belief that the reader will be enlightened with understanding, as well as developing those living skills to help the reader understand his or her life more abundantly,” Edward C. Graves said of his newest work. “This book explains a lifetime of endeavors and social experiences; my comments are not simply based on comprehensive research, but the spiritual awareness that comes along with living a long life of experiences, social, and spiritual consciousness as well as the mental enlightenment of what we expect and encounter in everyday living.”

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Edward C. Graves’ latest work, while it still incorporates facts from the author’s research, puts more of a humanistic spin on what the data reveals. Mr. Graves’ books focus on multiculturalism in American society, while highlighting the Black experience. This work gave him the opportunity to coin the phrase “subcultural psychosis” as the disorienting process of losing the ability to accurately assess one’s own sense of cultural enhancements as a result of alien or dysfunctional cultural displacement. It is through this lens that the author arrived at his realizations.

Readers who wish to experience this inspirational work can purchase “It Took What it Took” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
