Autumn Winds Living & Rehabilitation Hires Dusty Feeman as New Director of Nursing

Autumn Winds Living & Rehabilitation is pleased to announce the recent hire of Dusty Feeman, who will be overseeing the care of every resident as the facility’s Director of Nursing.

Dusty has been in healthcare since 2011, her nursing career began at Autumn Winds as a Certified Nurse Assistant. “On my first day of work, I knew I found my passion,” Ms. Feeman says. She made the decision to further her education while working part-time at Autumn Winds. “I just love it here, it’s a warm and cozy feeling,” Feeman stated. She successfully completed her Licensed Vocational Nursing program in 2014. Committed to our company, Dusty lead as a charge nurse but quickly advanced to Assistant Director of Nurses. With no surprise, she continued school and proudly became a Registered Nurse. “She is a huge asset to our team, longevity and loyalty is hard to find in healthcare and we truly appreciate Ms. Feemans’ commitment to Autumn Winds,” states Teri Baker, Regional Nurse Consultant for Trinity Healthcare.

Dusty will oversee ensuring that all the residents are taken care of and getting the best possible care. Dusty said her favorite part of working with the team at Autumn Winds Living & Rehabilitation are the people, both the staff and the residents. While at the facility, Dusty plans to lead the existing clinical team to be the best it can be in the Schertz community. She wants Autumn Winds to be the place where the community wants to come for recovery and call it home if needed. Dusty wants it to be a place where employees want to work, enjoy it, and work as a team. “I will strive to boost staff morale and displaying my appreciation daily,” expressed Dusty.

When Dusty is not working she spends her time with her three children, ages 12, 6 and 4. Dusty enjoys being outdoors and exploring the city.
