Author Roy Ragland's New Book, 'Uncle Jesse's One-Eyed Mule' is an Intriguing Historical Read on a Small Rural Community in Arkansas

Recent release "Uncle Jesse's One-Eyed Mule" from Covenant Books author Roy Ragland is a captivating tale of the small rural town of Welcome Home in Arkansas in the mid 1900s.

Roy Ragland, a pastor and former member of the Arkansas house of representatives, has completed his new book, "Uncle Jesse's One-Eyed Mule": a historical look at the authors own hometown.

Ragland shares, "Uncle Jesse's One-Eyed Mule is a historical overview of the small rural community of Welcome Home, Arkansas. It is not meant to be strict historical work, but it does contain an accurate account of Welcome Home's most infamous event, the shooting of Preacher Gillam. The work also contains stories passed down from previous generations through oral histories."

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Roy Ragland's new book preserves the history of his own community and the rustic lifestyle of the mid-1900s in Arkansas.

Readers can purchase "Uncle Jesse's One-Eyed Mule" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
