Author Roxanne Arvizu's New Audiobook 'Prince the Poet: A Tribute to Prince Rogers Nelson' is a Cheerful Poem About a Butterfly Following His Dreams

Recent audiobook release "Prince the Poet: A Tribute to Prince Rogers Nelson" from Audiobook Network author Roxanne Arvizu is an impactful poem about Prince, a butterfly who is always trying his best to achieve his dreams and goals no matter what others may say or do to him. As Prince learns to trust himself, he finds true happiness.

Roxanne Arvizu, a yogi and human/tenants rights worker, has completed her new audiobook "Prince the Poet: A Tribute to Prince Rogers Nelson": a mesmerizing and motivational poem about a brave young butterfly named Prince who follows his passions against all odds and works towards them every day.

Author Roxanne Arvizu discusses her process, writing, "I wrote this poem in the early morning of April 23, 2016. I knew immediately that it was going to be a book."

She goes on to describe her work, writing, "Prince the Poet is a poem about believing in yourself, but it also shines a light on a very serious epidemic in our country and in our world—bullying. My dream is that this poem helps to inspire you, uplift you, ignite and create bravery in you! Believe in yourself. Stand up for yourself. Stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves—those who are disabled and or have a disability, those who stand in the minority, and those of color. Be a friend; be an advocate. Be brave and be that friend. Be an advocate. When you encounter a bully or someone who wants to make you or others feel small, know and trust it is because they feel small and want to feel powerful by putting someone down. When you see someone who can't stand up for themselves, stand up for them, become their friend. They need a friend, an advocate in that moment more than you will ever know. We all need a good friend who will stick by us if the bullies come around."

Audiobooks are the fastest-growing segment in the digital publishing industry. According to The Infinite Dial 2019, 50% of Americans age 12 and older have listened to an audiobook. This huge growth can be partly attributed to increased listening in cars, which surpassed the home as the #1 audiobook listening location in the 2019 survey. Smart speaker proliferation also bodes well for future listening growth and more mainstream listening.
