Australia's Education Industry Rising Stars Recognised

The Educator magazine reveals 28 of the brightest up-and-coming talents in the education industry

The Educator magazine has just released its inaugural Rising Stars list for 2016 which features 28 talented leaders under 40 who are making their mark in the fast-changing business and vocation of education.

The Educator conducted a survey late last year to seek nominations from readers. The Rising Stars have been nominated by their colleagues and peers for their expertise, strength of character, willingness to innovate, their passion and vision.

Our Rising Stars did not seek recognition. They are the leaders making a difference day-in and day-out in their school communities, in an effort to improve the lives of their students, and often the education system as a whole. The Educator would like to take this opportunity to bring their achievements into the spotlight.

The list is composed of young principals, deputy principals and department heads from schools across Australia, who together prove the future of education is in safe hands. These Rising Stars all have the ability to lead. They do not just show a way forward, but engage their communities in order to make it real.

“Our Rising Stars did not seek recognition,” said Iain Hopkins, editor of The Educator. “They are the leaders making a difference day-in and day-out in their school communities, in an effort to improve the lives of their students, and often the education system as a whole. The Educator would like to take this opportunity to bring their achievements into the spotlight.”
