Austin's Restaurant Group add's Chef Jeff Kreisel to the kitchen staff at Austin's in Piermont, NY. With a very successful career under his belt, Austin's turns to Chef Kreisel to add his flare to the restaurant's menu.
Piermont, NY, June 6, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Austin’s Restaurant Group is proud to announce the addition of Jeff Kreisel to our Austin’s Piermont team. Chef Kreisel has had a decorated career in the food and hospitality industry and looks to continue his success with the Austin’s Restaurant Group.
Chef Kreisel studied at Johnson & Wales University, and shortly thereafter was recruited as one of the first chefs at Manhattan’s Mercadito and Mercadito Grove. After landing a sous chef position at Maloney & Porcelli, one of Manhattan’s premier steakhouses, Kreisel moved up to become a sous chef at Porterhouse New York, and worked under the tutelage of Chef Michael Lamonaco. During his tenure at Porterhouse, Kreisel helped create a critically acclaimed menu and was later appointed Chef de Cuisine.

In 2011, he was tapped to establish two trend-setting rooftop restaurants for the Ravel Management Group. Under his direction, Hotel Chantelle became one of the first fine dining destinations of the Lower East Side and the menu he created at Penthouse808 in Long Island City, raised the culinary bar for that neighborhood. As Executive Chef of both these restaurants, Kreisel applied a unique approach, driven by his classic French training and inspired by the diverse gastronomical backdrop of New York City.
