Atlanta's Home Depot and Stable|kernel Executives Named "Mobile Women to Watch"

The international award recognizes 25 of the most influential women expected to impact the mobile industry in 2016.

Mobile Marketer, the news leader in mobile marketing, media and commerce, released its annual “Mobile Women to Watch 2016” awards that honors 25 women executives from the United States and Canada who are making a difference in mobile advertising, marketing and media in 2016. The list includes women from Staples, The Washington Post, MasterCard, Clorox, Forbes, Heineken and more.

This year, Atlanta executives Samara Tuchband from The Home Depot and Sarah Woodward from stable|kernel are two of the 25 women bestowed with this honor. Both women actively push their organizations to the forefront of their industries through mobile, while also bringing national visibility to Atlanta’s growing reputation for mobile excellence.

"As more women become executives of organizations, it's up to us to mentor younger women and ensure our business cultures offer a welcoming environment for them to establish and thrive in mobile careers."

Sarah Woodward, Director of Business Development

“A key characteristic of a Mobile Women to Watch honoree is her willingness to push the envelope,” said Mickey Alam Khan, editor-in-chief of Mobile Marketer, New York.

Tuchband is the General Manager of Online Merchandising for The Home Depot and was a part of the product team that delivered the Home Depot Project Color app that allowed consumers to virtually play around with paint colors to see how it would look on walls in their own home. This app was one of her proudest achievements in her career. One of her priorities for 2016 includes making an impact through driving speed and scale across the company’s product portfolio.

“For women who especially want to make an impact, mobile is that next big thing where we need amazing talent to drive the expectations of our customers,” Tuchband said.

Woodward is the Director of Business Development for mobile app development shop stable|kernel whose team of iOS and Android developers creates software that revolutionizes the way companies do business. Her role is to evangelize the company story and clients’ successes, as well as drive business growth.

One of Woodward’s proudest achievements is how stable|kernel has quickly and efficiently gone from almost no brand awareness to having a reputation for being one of the best development consultancies in Atlanta. Her main priority in 2016 is to extend brand awareness nationally which will allow growth in client roster and staff.

“I am honored to be recognized by Mobile Marketer along with the many other accomplished women included in 2016’s ‘Mobile Women to Watch;’” Woodward said.

Woodward also serves as Co-Director of the Atlanta Mobile Marketing Organization, a trade organization that launched the Atlanta Mobile Awards to celebrate and build awareness for the industry-leading work being done in mobile by start-ups and other organizations in the market.

“As more women become executives of organizations, it’s up to us to mentor younger women and ensure our business cultures offer a welcoming environment for them to establish and thrive in mobile careers,” Woodward said.
