With over 50 years dedicated to law, Kapiloff​​​​ brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular to his area of specialization, tax law. When asked what inspired him to go into law, Kapiloff said:

Kapiloff focuses his practice on matters of federal, state, and local taxation, as well as estates and trusts. He noted:

Kapiloff is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State, Connecticut, Florida, and Virginia Bar Associations and the American College of Tax Counsel. He formerly was a Co-chair of the Committee of Compliance Practice and Procedure of the New York State Executive Tax Section, and a current member of the Executive Tax Section of the Connecticut State Bar Association. He is also a past Adjunct Lecturer at Pace University Graduate School and at Bernard M. Baruch College Graduate School in their tax programs.
