APOLAN Shares Passive Optical Network Expertise at BICSI Fall Conference
NEW YORK, August 31, 2022 (Newswire.com) - The Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), the non-profit organization advocating for the education and global adoption of Passive Optical Local Area Networks (POL), will showcase the latest POL developments at BICSI's Fall Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas on Sept. 25-29, 2022.
APOLAN and member companies AECOM, ITConnect Inc., Tellabs and Nokia will kick off the BICSI Fall Conference by presenting the Fundamentals of Passive Optical LAN masterclass on Sept. 25-26, 2022. This seminar provides an overview of the value, architecture, design and powering considerations for a Passive Optical LAN technology. The presentation specifically focuses on system components, benefits, design methodologies, power survivability using AC and DC methods, planning and commissioning of electronics, infrastructure testing and closeout package deliverables. Attendees who complete the two-day seminar will receive nine BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs).
APOLAN also will be available at Booth #225 in the Exhibit Hall to share information about passive optical network technologies and strategies, APOLAN's education and advocacy work, as well as membership opportunities. Exhibit hours are:

- Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2-7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Sept. 28, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
