APOLAN Brings Optical Network Expertise to BICSI Fall Conference

Association offers Optical LAN masterclass training and raises awareness of fiber optic innovations in the BICSI Exhibit Hall.

APOLAN, the non-profit organization advocating for the education and global adoption of Optical Local Area Networks, will showcase the latest Optical LAN developments at BICSI's Fall Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas on Sept. 10-14, 2023. 

APOLAN and member companies AECOM, ITConnect Inc., Tellabs and Nokia will kick off the BICSI Fall Conference by presenting the Fundamentals of Optical LAN masterclass on Sept. 10-11, 2023. This educational seminar provides an overview of Optical LAN technology's value, architecture, design and powering considerations. The presentation focuses on system components, benefits, design methodologies, power survivability using AC and DC methods, planning and commissioning of electronics, infrastructure testing and closeout package deliverables. Attendees who complete the two-day seminar will receive nine BICSI Continuing Education Credits (CECs). 

APOLAN will also be available at booth #2414 in the Exhibit Hall to share information about optical network technologies and strategies, APOLAN's education and advocacy work, and membership opportunities. APOLAN members exhibiting at the conference include Cailabs (booth #1918), Corning (booth #2135), Panduit (booth #1948) and Solara (booth #2129). Exhibit hours are:

  • Monday, Sept. 11, 4-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2-7 p.m. 
  • Wednesday, Sept. 13, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
