FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AntennaPoint.com Announces New Features to DTV Signal Locator
User friendly website to help with digital antenna selection

April 30, 2010: ST. LOUIS - AntennaPoint.com, a DTV signal locator, has announced a major redesign to its website which will suggest the best digital antenna for any location nationwide, in addition to its leading feature of recommending antenna positions.
The new features will aggregate data from thousands of users, installers and manufacturers along with a user's location and distance from television transmitters to suggest specific antenna models.

AntennaPoint.com has been helping customers find DTV signals since 2008. The redeveloped site promises to be more sophisticated and user friendly, with FCC updates and better usability. AntennaPoint.com has also planned to release an iPhone application, in association with the site's sponsor Antennas Direct, to help as an antenna installation tool.

"After hearing feedback from customers we know that not all TV antennas are created equal, some TV antennas were not made to receive high frequencies from digital broadcasts," said AntennaPoint.com spokesperson Scott Kolbe. "By redeveloping our site, adding the antenna suggestions and the iPhone application we plan to make AntennaPoint.com the most intuitive and informative DTV signal locator available."

One of the most confusing aspects of digital television is choosing the correct antenna. AntennaPoint.com hopes to take the confusion out of the decision process, by giving the customer more information along with an antenna suggestion, so that they can make the best possible decision.

Being informed about DTV is important to unlocking its potential. AntennaPoint.com is able to supply customers with information all by entering a city, state or zip code. With that information they can generate a map with location and distance to broadcasting towers, compass headings, transmitter power, and station information including call letters, network affiliations and digital frequency.

"We're hoping this application will help people pick the right antenna," said Antennas Direct president Richard Schneider. "It's great to see a DTV signal locator that is designed with the typical customer in mind."
