American Homeowner Preservation ("AHP") will sponsor the third edition of RealCap Chicago, a real estate crowdfunding conference, on September 24. Presented by The Soho Loft Media Group, RealCap Chicago III: Introducing Online Capital to Real Estate Entrepreneurs will bring together representatives from the industry's leading real estate crowdfunding platforms with real estate entrepreneurs, including developers and investors. AHP's founder and CEO Jorge Newbery will moderate the event, which will feature representatives from Peer Realty. FundAmerica, Crowd Realty Advisors, Guardian Capital. Connected Investors, Strata Investments, HealthiosXchange, Great Lakes Fund Solutions,, DiversyFund, Loquidity, Small Change and other industry leaders.

RealCap Chicago will provide real estate entrepreneurs the opportunity to hear from the country's leading real estate crowdfunding platforms. Attendees will learn how to raise debt and equity online for projects including "fix and flip" single family homes, multifamily complexes, commercial buildings, and ground up development projects. In addition to a How Does Real Estate Crowdfunding Work panel to learn the basics, real estate crowdfunding industry leaders will guide the How Do I Get My Project Funded Online workshop. Further, just because a project is offered online does not mean the project will stand out and attract investor interest. For entrepreneurs interested in a Do It Yourself strategy, Peer Realty will host the How To Start Your Own Crowdfunding Platform.

The first offerings under the new Regulation A+ are forecast to be live by the conference. Thus, a panel wil examine the progress of Regulation A+ and the impact to date. Issuers under Reg. A+ can accept investments from nonaccredited investors, which will allow online investing platforms to vastly broaden the potential investor market from the 4% of the population who meet the accredited standards of net worth of a million or more or annual income of $200,000 ($300,000 for a couple) or more.

RealCap Chicago is expected to attract a large audience of real estate entrepreneurs, providing an opportunity to network and explore real estate crowdfunding. In addition, investors who are interested in real estate crowdfunding will have an opportunity to meet face to face with industry leaders and probe a several platforms with a variety of projects to match their interests.
