American Egyptian Strategic Alliance (AESA) Names COO
Online, October 1, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The American Egyptian Strategic Alliance (AESA) is pleased to name Tharwat Abouraya as its Chief Operating Officer based in Washington, DC. Mr. Abouraya will work on initiatives designed to further the shared interests of the United States and Egypt.
Mr. Abouraya has extensive management and operational experience. He brings with him 30 years of experience in the travel industry working with small agencies to multinational corporations. He built a long career with American Express and now works as an executive consultant in travel, tourism and small business entrepreneurship coach. He will support AESA's outreach, membership and funding efforts.
AESA, the first Egyptian lobbying organization in the United States, facilitates decisions of stability and mutual prosperity to build bridges between the U.S. and Egypt. Particularly, given the strategic value of Egypt to the U.S.'s foreign policy and interests, AESA seeks to further the creation and protection of a civil society in Egypt based on the universal values of human dignity, democratic process, freedom of speech and individual rights by encouraging the U.S. to assist Egypt in these areas.
