Air India Plans to Expand Dreamliner Network
After the commencement of the operation on Delhi to Australia route from August 29, 2013, Air India also plans to expand its Dreamliner's network to Russia, Europe and Africa.
Online, August 28, 2013 (Newswire.com) - After the commencement of the operation on Delhi to Australia route from August 29, 2013, Air India also plans to expand its Dreamliner's network to Russia, Europe and Africa.

The expansion plan of Air India includes flights from Delhi to Moscow , Rome and few destinations in Africa. A senior Air India official said "Moscow, Rome and some destinations in Africa will be added by the end of this year itself."
The state-run airline is likely to begin the flight operations on the Australian route from August 29. 2013. Confirming the report an Air India Official said, "We had in our financial turnaround plan made a decision to use the Dreamliner for long-haul, non-stop flights. The Melbourne, Sydney circuit has a lot of traffic and is profitable. So, we will be starting flights on this route from August 29."
Air India owns six B787 in total and expects a rise to eight more by the end of 2013. At present, the airline operates flights to 33 international destinations and further intends to add 12 to 14 routes by the first six months of the next year. Boeing 787 Dreamliner owned by Air India resumed services on May 22 after being grounded by US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in January 2013.
