Agribotix Partners With the Climate Corporation's Climate FieldView™ Platform in Brazil on Pilot Program to Deliver Advanced Aerial Imagery to Participating Brazilian Farmers

Project Will Enhance a Unified, Farmer-Focused Digital Ag Ecosystem

Agribotix, a leading drone-data processing company, announced a pilot program to expand an existing partnership between Agribotix and The Climate Corporation, a subsidiary of Monsanto Company, to introduce the power of aerial imagery to farmers across Brazil.

Under an agreement between Agribotix and Sensix, a leading local drone-enabled monitoring solutions company, Sensix will use its locally manufactured drones to survey more than 5,000 hectares of soy and corn fields in several Brazilian states. “I’m very excited about the opportunity to partner with Agribotix,” said, Carlos Ribeiro, Executive Director of Sensix. “This pilot program will demonstrate how drones can provide actionable information for crop management, and prove the value of the results they can deliver to farmers through digital offerings such as Agribotix’s FarmLens™ and the Climate FieldView™ platform.”

Agribotix will process the imagery and return results in hours, showing farmers where their crops are healthy and where they need attention. These results will be available in FarmLens, Agribotix’s award-winning software platform. Farmers who have a Climate FieldView account can choose to share images to Climate FieldView, where they can view them alongside other valuable data layers, including planting and yield data. Bringing these data sets together will help farmers uncover valuable field insights that will help them maximize productivity.

“Expanding our reach in Brazil through our partnerships with Sensix and The Climate Corporation enables us to bring innovative field imagery to a substantially larger number of farmers since Brazil is one of the world’s largest agricultural producers. This pilot project will demonstrate to farmers the value of using aerial imagery and the power of data-driven decision making on the farm,” said Lou Faust, CEO of Agribotix.

In May 2017, The Climate Corporation announced a U.S. partnership with Agribotix, enabling farmers to seamlessly share aerial imagery data with their Climate FieldView accounts from Agribotix, giving them the ability to access all of their data in one place and experience deeper analysis of how their crops are performing in-season, identify potential yield-limiting factors and take action early to protect yield.

“This pilot program demonstrates Climate’s commitment to bring best-in-class data analytics and advanced aerial imagery to the farmers of Brazil to help them more efficiently manage their operations,” said Mateus Barros, South America Lead for The Climate Corporation business. “Climate is pleased to collaborate on this pilot project to give farmers greater access to powerful digital tools through one unified platform.”

The pilot project in Brazil will run from September through early 2018 so farmers and the partners involved can get a complete season’s worth of aerial imagery, learning when to scout their crops to derive the most value from the drone surveys and results they deliver.
