Aggreko Supports Centenary Celebration of Speed Legends Bluebird

Online, June 16, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Aggreko, the world leader in temporary power and temperature control solutions, is extending its support for Bluebird - the legendary British company behind numerous land and water speed records - by becoming a major sponsor of its centenary celebrations.

Aggreko has long supported Bluebird in its bid to achieve the electric land speed record, recognising the wider contribution made by a fellow engineering pioneer. The Bluebird centenary event will be held in London's West End, outside the Theatre Royal Haymarket, and will honour the moment the Bluebird legend was born: when the company's founder Sir Malcolm Campbell saw Maurice Maeterlinck's play 'The Blue Bird', Sir Malcolm rushed home and painted his racing car blue. 100 years later, Bluebird claims a number of record-breaking achievements.
