Advantage Concepts Offers Internship Opportunities

The executive team at Advantage Concepts is launching its summer internship program. The company's president outlined the importance and benefits of hands-on training in today's job market.

“This is an exciting time of year for Advantage Concepts,” said Mike L., the firm’s president. “It’s when we welcome both new grads and college students into our internship program.” The company offers paid travel events and hands-on training in the marketing field.

The internship program offers participants opportunities to work on actual events and promotions. “The purpose of this program is to bring participants through each aspect of the engagement process,” said Mike. “They learn how their contributions fit into the bigger picture. It’s fun to see their impact on the success of the business.”

"In addition to gaining experience in marketing and sales, participants also start to develop their teamwork and leadership abilities,"

Through their practical work experience, the interns learn intangible skills. “In addition to gaining experience in marketing and sales, participants also start to develop their teamwork and leadership abilities,” said Mike. “These soft skills aren’t taught in the classroom environment.”

The program allows current students to earn college credits. “We have created partnerships with a number of colleges and universities,” said Mike. This arrangement allows student to work part-time in a company setting while they complete their degree programs. “Once these students finish school, they will be ready to enter the job market,” he added.

Advantage Concepts President Outlines the Benefits of the Internship Program

“When you earn your college degree, you highlight your academic knowledge. When you join an internship, you bring the classroom’s abstract theories into actual work,” said Mike. At Advantage Concepts, participants join established teams where they also gain self-confidence and a real-world perspective. “Companies favor full-time candidates who have professional experience,” he added. “This is important if you want to compete.”

The internship program also benefits the firm itself. “Interns bring fresh ideas to the organization,” said Mike. “We love to augment our groups with talented, lively individuals.” The influx of new associates gives team members opportunities to coach their younger counterparts. “Interaction with these new faces also creates added networking opportunities for everyone in the company,” he added.

Once the interns have finished the program, Mike hopes that they will be willing to become full-time members of the organization. “After they have been part of our leading-edge campaigns, we hope that the participants will choose to be part of our winning team,” he said.

Mike is excited to start this year’s internship program. “We have some great opportunities here at Advantage Concepts,” he said. Openings are available in areas ranging from marketing to public relations. “We are pleased to offer anyone the opportunity to grow his or her business and marketing skills. It’s going to be a great summer.”
