Advanced Auto Theft Training Presented by NYACT and NICB Partnering with NYS DMV DFI
NEW YORK, December 7, 2023 (Newswire.com) - The New York Anti Car Theft and Fraud Association (NYACT) and the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) were proud to partner with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Division of Field Investigation (NYS DMV DFI) at the NYS DMV DFI facility located in Queens Village, NY. The program was for members of law enforcement.
This Advanced Auto Theft training educates law enforcement in identifying stolen motor vehicles.
National Insurance Crime Bureau and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Division of Field Investigation conducted hands-on training for law enforcement on stolen vehicle identification. Attendees had the opportunity to physically examine multiple stolen retagged vehicles containing counterfeit or reaffixed public VIN’s, Federal Warranty Labels and Anti-theft stickers. Attendees also heard industry experts talk about key red flags they should look for when conducting Auto Theft Investigations or while conducting patrol.
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Division of Field Investigation provided the venue for the training.
