Des Moines, IA - July 27, 2010 - Accordance Systems (www.accordancesystems.com) today announced the ARAID 3500 advanced RAID controller and subsystem for hard drive data protection. The system utilizes a PC system's existing system drive and dynamically builds a RAID 1 array with a blank secondary drive. Data is constantly mirrored on both drives, in the event one drive should fail the computer continues to run and no data is lost. The ARAID 3500 supports SATA drives and connects to PC SATA or IDE ports.
"The ARAID 3500 represents our fastest and easiest products to use for hard drive data protection", says Steve Johnson, president of Accordance USA. "Users are able to install the ARAID in a mater of minutes to support hard drive redundancy and crash-proof PCs. If you can install a CD drive, you can install an ARAID"
The ARAID 3500 runs on any Windows, Macintosh, Linux or real-time kernel without additional device drivers or application software. The RAID intelligence is built into the device and is ready to run at high performance speeds out-of-the-box.
The ARAID 3500 provides operation status via an LCD display, audio alarm, email alert or optional SNMP network traps on each unit. ARAID warns users of any hard drive failure allowing drives and data to be replaced while the computer is still operating. In 2007, Google Inc. observed the annualized failure rates (AFR) of commercial PC hard drives varied from 1.7% to over 8.6% for drives in their 3rd year of operation. The ARAID 3500 represents the new approach for PC data backup
Each ARAID contains two removable hard drive trays allowing drives to be added or removed while the system is running. The ARAID allows drive trays to be taken from the system for archive back up storage in a similar manner as traditional computer storage tape. However, restoring systems is instantaneous as users only need to start systems from the archive drive and eliminate costly data rebuilds.
The ARAID 3500 is available now with a list price of $395/each. For more information, go to the Accordance website at: www.accordancesystems.com
