Accor Bali Lombok 'Spirit of Smiles' Golf Tournament puts smiles on the faces of Balinese Children

Accor hotels Bali and Lombok have recently held the 'Spirit of Smiles' fund raising Golf Tournament for the benefit of A Tree For A Child (ATFAC) foundation and raised a total of US$ 13,500

Accor hotels Bali and Lombok have recently held the 'Spirit of Smiles' fund raising Golf Tournament for the benefit of A Tree For A Child (ATFAC) foundation. Accor hotels through ATFAC aims towards poverty alleviation for needy children and their families. This successful golf tournament held last Saturday, 24th April 2010 at the Bali Golf & Country Club attracted more than 100 golfers.

The event raised a total of US$ 13,500.

Mr GUILLOUET said, "Accor is very pleased to initiate such event which will contribute to provide education to underprivileged children. We aim to hold this annually as a key element of our Corporate Social Responsibility calendar. Through this we hope that we can continue to increase the impact that Accor is making for the underprivileged children of Bali."

The funds raised will be used for the renovation of SDN 3 Taman's classrooms to be converted into a playgroup for Balinese children in the surrounding four banjar (villages) and Yayasan Pendidikan Anak Cacat Jimbaran (Orphanage house and school for physically and mentally challenged kids)projects.
