A Tribute to Famed Massachusetts Coach Hanson, Organized by Hanson's Former Players Committee

​Hanson’s Former Players Committee has announced that Coach William Hanson is retiring after 40 years as head hockey coach. His teams amassed 608 total wins, 20 Catholic Conference titles, 17 Massachusetts State Hockey Championships, and were voted National Champions 6 times.

Coach Hanson’s family, friends, and former players and their families are hosting an event to celebrate this incredible career at the Agganis Arena at Boston University on Friday, May 20.

Please come to see old friends, share memories, and pay tribute to a hockey coaching legend who had a tremendous impact on the lives of so many players.  Cocktail Hour starts at 6:00pm. Dinner, speaking program, and tribute video will run from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Net proceeds generated from the event will be donated in Coach Hanson’s name to the Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation (http://www.markbavisleadershipfoundation.org) and the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund (http://www.mslfund.org).
