A New Scientific Sleep App Recently Featured on Dr. Dan Gartenberg's TED.com Talk
NEW YORK, December 11, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Proactive Life LLC notes that Americans are sleeping on average one hour less than they did in the 1940s and more than 40 million Americans suffer from periodic or chronic insomnia. Sleep doctor and app developer Dr. Daniel Gartenberg created a new way to make sleep more regenerative using the science of sound. After receiving grant funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health, Dr. Gartenberg developed the Sonic Sleep Coach Alarm Clock iPhone app, which detects the sound levels in the room and plays sounds to adaptively block out noise pollution and elicit more restorative deep sleep. Dr. Gartenberg recently released a TED talk about the science of sleep and how sounds, when played at the right time during sleep, can help people get more out of their sleep.
"After years of bad sleep, eating terribly, and the constant energy of a tree sloth, I finally have hope. After two nights of using the app and following the instructions I woke up with more energy than I have since Spiro Agnew was in office." - John Sleep (iPhone app review)
