A New Bible Version Pays Homage to the Past With Today in Mind
Orlando, FL, April 19, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Holy Bible is the most popular book in human history, but—despite its popularity—there exists no single version which formats the KJV Bible into a story book, until now.
Cultured.Media today announced a new version of the venerable King James Bible on the website KJVBibleStories.com. However, their new KJV Bible is not a new translation. Instead, it is a content and format change to the evergreen KJV books and text.
"In our world of tweets, snaps, and texts, a Bible organized into bite-sized pieces is in order."

"In our world of tweets, snaps, and texts, a Bible organized into bite-sized pieces is in order," said Hector Cordova, the man behind Cultured.Media. "The KJV Storybook Bible is crafted to highlight the stories of the Bible, which have both religious and literary significance."
The KJVSBE (which stands for King James Version, Storybook Edition) sticks to the original text of the King James Version, while reformatting the text to showcase each story. The KJVSBE does away with the chapter and verse number system, and replaces it with chapter designations for each story. For example, Adam and Eve gets its own chapter, as does Noah's Ark. All the text between stories is omitted.
"Most of us own some kind of reference Bible, which is great," chuckled Hector. "[Reference Bibles] often include all the words, the stories, even maps and interpretations to help us study the text. The KJVSBE is not a replacement for those Bibles. It's a different kind of Bible, made to read in short bursts."
Starting today, you can get the KJVSBE Genesis storybook for free at KJVBibleStories.com. On the site, you can also sign up for updates on the KJV Storybook Edition, and listen to a podcast titled "Bible Sunday | KJV Bible Stories", where you can hear readings from the KJVSBE.
Hector stresses that the new Bible is a work in progress, saying, "The new Storybook Bible is coming together right now, with care and love, book by book, so keep an eye out over the next year as each book comes out."
The KJV Storybook Bible and KJVBibleStories.com are projects of Cultured.Media (yes, their name is their web address), which produces books, blogs, and podcasts to help you enrich your life by extracting meaning from some the best of our history, literature, art, and culture. KJVBibleStories.com, the KJV Storybook Bible, and the Bible Sunday | KJV Bible Stories podcast are part of Cultured.Media's mission to make media that matters.
